Embedded reports and visuals on own website

The Virkplan portal supports embedding entire reports or individual visuals on the customer's own website. This functionality is also supported by RLS (Row-Level Security) if the customer has a user-controlled website and needs to display BI (Business Intelligence) on it.

Data Monitoring

Virkplan monitors all data sources to ensure that all reports are up to date. Additionally, in collaboration with the customer, we can set up "trend" monitoring of data. This means that we select one or more parameters, such as monitoring the number of transactions seen each day. If it deviates from the norm, errors are reported.

Compliance for Publishing

New ReportsVirkplan can perform control checks on reports before they are published. This could involve security checks, RLS, or verifying that the correct data accesses have been used. This is agreed upon in collaboration with the customer.

Development of BI Reports

The customer determines who develops the Power BI reports. Virkplan has extensive expertise in developing Power BI reports and creates reports for most of our customers. Virkplan is also happy to provide expert assistance for more complex Power BI issues. The customer can also use other consultants for report development.

Editing Rights

‍The customer defines which users are allowed to edit the reports and which reports they can edit. There are two types of editing: Online and Offline. With Online editing, changes are made directly in the Virkplan portal. The advantage of online editing is that it's easy, and users cannot change the data model or the measurements made. Most users can learn to use this editing function. With Offline editing, users download the pbix file and work in their Power BI Desktop application. Here, users have full control. After editing, the pbix file is uploaded to the Virkplan portal, which then automatically publishes it. Virkplan keeps a history of all uploaded versions, allowing users to revert to previous versions if needed.

Easy Import and Maintenance of Decentralized Data

‍The Virkplan portal has an import function that makes it easy to import and update files with other data, such as budgets or targets that don't fit into the ERP/CRM system. In the Virkplan portal, there is a KPI module where users can easily enter and maintain target values per month. Target values can be based on each seller or as desired by the customer.

User and Access Logging

‍Virkplan logs all portal usage and can provide reports showing which reports have been accessed by whom and when.

License Structure

‍The customer pays one company license to Virkplan, covering the agreed-upon number of users. No additional licenses per user are required for Microsoft Power BI.
